Tell us something about you.
My name is Danilo, I have Italian origins but was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. When I was a child, I used to steal some sips of coffee from my relatives’ cups! In 2004, I started working as barista in catering events, and soon became instructor in barista classes. From 2008 to 2011, I travelled a lot and enhanced my professional experience throughout South America. Since 2011, I’ve worked as judge in the international WCE competitions. This way, I’ve had the chance to meet a lot of extraordinary people and share my passion with them, obviously over a cup of good coffee.
What about your hobbies?
My hobbies are coffee – of course –, beer and martial arts.
A day without coffee...?
Would make me very grumpy!
You’re good at...?
Remembering things – my memory is excellent!
What’s your favourite coffee spot?
In Brazil, it’s the Beluga Cafè. Abroad, on the other hand, it’s the Paradigma in Guatemala City.
